The Ášvi artbook was created as a visual companion to the album of the same name.

It is not a traditional booklet containing song lyrics. It captures more than seven years of the journey – studio photographs, artwork, the stories behind the individual compositions, and the emergence of the Ášvi language.

The music I spent many years trying to materialize finds its visual form here.

The artbook is available as a printed publication in both Czech and English.

About the Author

Martin Josh Vala (1976) is a musician, author, and producer of the album Ášvi.

Alongside music, he has long been devoted to photography, sea kayaking, entrepreneurship, and the Steamy.cz project, which he develops together with his wife Monika in the field of women’s health.

The album Ášvi took more than seven years to complete. It is not merely a collection of compositions, but a personal testimony expressed through music, imagery, and a language that gradually emerged throughout this journey.
